Does a DPF warning light mean the filter needs replacing?
No. A DPF warning is evidence that the system has not completed regeneration or has detected an emissions fault. Pressure sensors, temperature sensors, EGR operation, engine condition, driving pattern and other faults can all contribute. The cause needs testing before cleaning or replacement.
Can you force a DPF regeneration?
Where the filter condition and vehicle data show that a controlled regeneration is safe and appropriate, it may form part of the repair. A forced regeneration without finding why the system failed can allow the warning to return or risk further damage.
Can an AdBlue countdown be reset?
A countdown is normally triggered by a fault in the SCR/AdBlue system. Resetting it without repairing and verifying the cause is not a lasting solution. We diagnose pressure, dosing, NOx-sensor, heater, wiring and control faults before the correct reset procedure.
