This Peugeot 3008 arrived after a main-dealer recall with an engine-management light and a “650 miles until STOP” warning. The request sounded simple: reset it. The reset cleared the light and countdown—but clearing a warning does not prove its cause has gone.
What improved
A pre- and post-repair comparison showed the inlet-air actuator fault was no longer reported. Engine ECU, gearbox, airbag and electric power-steering status also improved to normal.
What still needed attention
Diesel additive pump and fuel-additive faults remained. The reports recorded 29 issues before and 32 afterwards across the scanned systems, which is exactly why a clean dashboard cannot be treated as a clean bill of health.
The lesson
An AdBlue or additive countdown creates urgency, but urgency is not permission to guess. Record the evidence, confirm what changed and verify the faults that remain before calling the job fixed.
