Advanced Vehicle Diagnostics in the North West
When a scan has found codes but not the cause, we go deeper. Engine Clean combines vehicle history, live data and practical testing to explain what is actually failing.

Start with what
the vehicle is doing.
You do not need a technical explanation before calling. Clear symptoms and honest history give us the right place to begin.
- Warning light returns after repair
- Intermittent or multiple faults
- Vehicle will not start
- Poor running or reduced power
- Previous diagnostic has not resolved it
How we solve it
Test. Understand. Then act.
History first
We understand when the fault happens and what has already been replaced or tested.
System testing
Live data, circuit checks and oscilloscope testing turn symptoms into evidence.
Cause confirmed
We explain the most likely failure and the next sensible repair step.
What is the difference between a fault-code scan and vehicle diagnostics?
A scan reports codes stored by control units. Proper diagnostics uses those codes as clues, then checks live data, circuits, signals, mechanical conditions and the vehicle’s history to identify the cause. Engine Clean does not treat a code description as proof that a named part has failed.
Can you diagnose a fault another garage has not been able to fix?
Yes. Unresolved and intermittent faults are a core part of our work. Tell us what the vehicle does, when it happens and what has already been tested or replaced. That history helps us avoid repeating work and build the next test plan.
How long does vehicle diagnostics take?
There is no honest fixed time for every fault. A straightforward failure may be identified quickly; an intermittent electrical or network fault may need extended monitoring. We explain the initial diagnostic stage and update you when the evidence changes the scope.
