Before you buy
A pre-purchase inspection at the vehicle can uncover warning lights, diagnostic evidence, condition concerns and likely next costs before money changes hands.

History, physical evidence and diagnostic testing are matched to the question.
Further testing, repair, collection and delivery can be arranged where applicable.
Four reasons to call
The right inspection depends on the decision you need to make. We agree that question before testing begins.
A pre-purchase inspection at the vehicle can uncover warning lights, diagnostic evidence, condition concerns and likely next costs before money changes hands.
Compare what was reported before the work with what remains afterwards. A clear record matters when a dashboard light has gone out but the underlying question has not.
Record the complaint, timeline, test evidence and observed condition in language that a customer, business or dispute handler can follow.
An independent second opinion for garages and traders who need difficult work assessed without losing control of their customer relationship.
Straightforward starting prices
We confirm the scope and price before work starts. Vehicle type, distance, access, testing time and the depth of written evidence can change the final quotation.
For a current fault, warning light or first independent fact-find.
For customers considering a used car or van at a private seller or motor trader.
For post-repair comparisons, dealer disputes and cases needing a structured signed report.
Trade work: repeat and pre-filtered jobs can be priced on an agreed trade basis. Travel, recovery, collection/delivery, dismantling and specialist testing are quoted separately where required.
The Engine Clean standard
A useful report does not exaggerate. It shows what was reported, what was observed, how it was tested, what remains uncertain and what should happen next.
Before you book
Yes, where there is a safe and suitable place to work and permission to access the vehicle. If the inspection needs workshop equipment, we can arrange workshop time and may be able to offer collection and delivery.
No. An MOT is a statutory test at an authorised test station. Our inspection records the condition, diagnostic evidence and questions agreed within the inspection scope.
A clear independent report can help you explain the technical evidence to a dealer, warranty provider, finance company, Trading Standards adviser or dispute-resolution service. It is factual technical evidence, not legal advice or an automatic finding of liability.
Our standard reports are independent technical inspection reports, not CPR Part 35 expert-witness reports. Tell us at the beginning if court proceedings are contemplated so we can confirm whether the required scope is suitable or refer you appropriately.
Send the registration, current mileage, warning lights or symptoms, purchase or repair timeline, previous invoices and any diagnostic reports. Good history helps us inspect the right questions without assuming the answer.
Yes, where appropriate. We can begin with a mobile fact-find, then book the necessary workshop testing or repair. Any repair is priced separately and you remain in control of what happens next.
