Pre-Purchase Car Inspections in Lancashire

A clean MOT history and a polished advert do not answer every buying question. A pre-purchase inspection gives you a recorded view of the vehicle at the time examined, before you commit your money.

The short version: define the question, preserve the history and record what the vehicle can actually prove.

What we check

The scope is agreed before attendance and can include identification and mileage, dashboard warnings, fluid condition, visible engine-bay concerns, tyres, brakes, steering, suspension, body condition, diagnostic scan and a road test where permission, insurance and conditions allow.

Mobile where suitable

We can attend a private seller or motor trader around Burnley and Lancashire where permission, access, lighting and ground conditions are suitable. An on-site inspection cannot reproduce every workshop test. If lifting equipment, dismantling or extended diagnosis is needed, we explain that limitation.

What you receive

The pre-purchase service includes photographs and written findings at the agreed level. Concerns are prioritised so you can distinguish a routine maintenance item from something needing further investigation before purchase.

No inspection can promise the future

The report records accessible condition and evidence at a point in time. It cannot reveal every concealed, intermittent or future defect and is not a warranty. Its value is a better-informed decision, not invented certainty.

Common questions

Before you arrange an inspection

Does the seller need to give permission?

Yes. The seller must agree to access, diagnostic connection and any road test. Ask before booking.

Do I need to attend?

Not necessarily. We can arrange access with the seller and provide the findings to you, subject to suitable arrangements.

How much does a pre-purchase inspection cost?

Engine Clean pre-purchase inspections start from £149. Distance, vehicle type, access and the agreed inspection depth can change the quotation.
